A local venue built for great summer events
Thornborough Events is an outdoor event venue in South Birmingham, built to host live music, festivals, food events, and relaxed family days out.
We focus on running events that are well organised, easy to enjoy, and welcoming to everyone — from regular festival-goers to families looking for something different to do together.
We’re not about hype or overpromising. We’re about good events, clear information, and creating a space people enjoy coming back to time and time again.

Alongside our own festivals, Thornborough also hosts independently run events throughout the year. These events are organised by external promoters and take place here at the Thornborough venue.

Truck Bash
- 15th – 17th May 2026
A full weekend celebrating trucks, engines, and outdoor festival vibes.
Breaking Bands Festival XI
- 21st – 25th May 2026
Five days of grassroots music from rising bands across the UK.
Moduska
- 3rd - 5th July 2026
A once-a-year scooter rally with mod, ska, and reggae across the weekend.
Monster Truck Motorfest
- 15th – 16th August 2026
Monster truck action and family-friendly motorsport entertainment.

Live Music
Live music sits at the heart of many Thornborough events, with performances ranging from local acts to established tribute and DJ-led shows across a variety of genres.
Food & Drink
Each event brings its own mix of food traders, from street food to familiar festival classics. Some weekends are dedicated food events, while others offer a varied selection to suit all tastes.
Licensed Bars
Our licensed bars operate across events, serving beers, ciders, spirits, and soft drinks. Some events also feature themed pop-up bars.
Entertainment
Alongside live music, many events include additional entertainment and activities, helping create a full day out rather than just a single performance.
Family Friendly
Many Thornborough events are planned to be family-friendly, with space to relax, clear information, and activities suitable for younger attendees where advertised.
Dog's Welcome
Dogs are welcome at many events, provided they’re kept on leads and comfortable in busy outdoor environments. Some events are especially dog-friendly.
